I PLASTICI DI GIORGIO MASCARELLO

Alcuni giorni fa ho posto 2 domande che mi interessavano a Giorgio Mascarello, il quale è stato, come al solito, molto gentile ed esauriente nelle risposte.

Nella prima domanda ho chiesto quanto tempo ha impiegato nella realizzazione del suo stupendo plastico, nella seconda invece gli ho chiesto informazioni sul materiale usato e la realizzazione della pavimentazione della foto 1.

Ecco le sue risposte:

Ciao Enrico , rispondo alle domande che mi hai fatto .

Il plastico attuale sono circa sei anni che ho iniziato i lavori di costruzione , e c'è ancora molto da fare ma il tempo è poco .

Nel corso degli anni ho costruito più plastici di varie misure e scale ( HO-TT-N ) e alla fine ho scelto l'N .

Vi allego le foto del primo plastico in N , e l'inizio lavori di quello attuale .

La seconda domanda riguarda il piazzale (foto 1) .

L’ho realizzato con del polistirolo espanso facile da intagliare e ricoperto da stucco , più facile da lavorare mentre il gesso asciuga troppo in fretta .

Non dimenticare di mettere nell'impasto del vinavil per evitare delle sgradevoli crepe .

In fine volevo consigliarti tre libri ( allego foto copertina ) ottimi e pieni di consigli utili. Spero di essere stato di aiuto ed a presto ciao Giorgio .

Some days ago I posted 2 questions that I was interested to Giorgio Mascarello, which was, as usual, very polite and thorough for the answers.

The first question I asked how long it took the realization of his beautiful plastic, in second, I asked him about the material used and the construction of pavement of photo 1.

Hello Henry, I answer the questions that I've done.

The Miniature railway is now about six years that I started the construction work, and there is still much to do but time is short.

Over the years I have built several models of various sizes and scales (HO-TT-N) and in the end I chose the N.

I am attaching photos of the first plastic in N, and the beginning of the current work.

The second question concerns the pavement (photo 1).

I made it with polystyrene foam is easy to carve and covered with stucco, easier to work while the plaster dries too quickly.

Do not forget to put the dough vinavil to avoid the unsightly cracks.

Finally I recommend three books (Attach photo cover) and full of excellent tips.
